Katie joined Chambers in October 2024 following completion of a specialist Civil Pupillage under the supervision of Natasha Bellinger.

Katie has a thriving practice in all areas of civil law, with particular focuses in housing, property and personal injury. 

Katie is able to represent both Claimants and Defendants in housing and property law, with extensive experience in complicated matters involving disability discrimination, public law, disrepair and complicated possession claims. She is also able to work with vulnerable clients and those who lack capacity.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Katie developed an extensive knowledge of personal injury claims through her work as a clinical negligence paralegal dealing with claims involving complex eye injuries and ocular diseases. She has utilised these skills to be able to understand and represent on complicated matters often involving multiple causes or contributing factors to injuries. She is able to assist Claimants and Defendants in all aspects of personal injury and clinical negligence litigation.

Katie studied Law at the University of Bristol and completed her BPTC LLM at City Law School achieving a Very Competent and Distinction.

Katie also worked as a Senior Advocacy Manager at LPC Law prior to pupillage, managing advocates by advising them as to legal arguments and providing training to ensure that they were competent to attend hearings. Prior to this, as a county court advocate herself, she conducted primarily landlord and tenant, mortgage possessions, small claims trials, applications, and costs hearings.

Personal

Katie grew up in Somerset and lived in London before moving to Exeter to start pupillage. Outside of work, Katie enjoys video games, arts and crafts and curling up with a good book.
