Phoebe joined Chambers in April 2025 following completion of a specialist Family Pupillage under the supervision of William Hillier.
Phoebe is developing a diverse practice in all areas of family law, including financial remedies, private and public children law cases as well as Family Law Act Injunctions. She prides herself on her thorough preparation, compassion and determination to strive for the best outcome for her clients.
Opting to complete the Bar Course with an integrated masters under the Pro Bono Pathway, Phoebe has experience as a Student Legal Advisor which enabled her to research and advise clients on Family, Child and Mental Health Law matters.
Phoebe has consistently engaged in volunteer work from being a Young and Adult Leader with the Girl Guides and active member of her university’s Pro Bono Society to being a Community Support Volunteer in Lima, Peru more recently.
Prior to commencing Pupillage, Phoebe worked as an Administrator for a GP Surgery during the height of the pandemic and was praised for her patient and empathetic approach and her ability to be astute to patient’s concerns.
Expertise
Phoebe is regularly instructed on Private Law Matters and often represents clients where there are allegations of domestic abuse present in the case. She is praised for her attention to detail, client care and hard work. Phoebe also has experience in drafting and carrying out an Appeal as well as representing the Applicant at a Final Committal Hearing in which the Defendant was found to be in contempt of Court and sentenced accordingly.
Phoebe represents the Local Authority, parents and Guardians at all stages of public law proceedings.
In relation to Finance work, Phoebe represents all parties at every step of proceedings and has in particular, assisted multiple clients in achieving favourable settlements at Financial Dispute Resolution Hearings. She also has experience in Enforcement and Notice to Show Cause Hearings and has succeeded in achieving a great outcome representing a Mother at a Schedule 1 Children Act Final Hearing.
Phoebe also represents both Applicants and Respondents in proceedings under the Family Law Act 1996 at both interim and contested hearings.
In her spare time, Phoebe enjoys travelling, experiencing new cultures and practising her conversational Spanish skills. She is pleased to be living back in Devon where she can spend time with family and friends and enjoys going for coastal walks.
District Judge in relation to an Enforcement Final Hearing: During pupillage, a District Judge commented that they were impressed with Phoebe’s skills and had not realised she was a pupil due to the quality of her work.

Given the short notice, I was really impressed by how quickly you got to grips with the case and the outcomes you secured for her.
