Vincent Mulcock
Overview
Call 2021 – Lincolns Inn
Vince has a busy civil practice with a strong focus on property, landlord and tenant, contract and chancery-related disputes. He is regularly instructed in matters beyond his Call including multi-track trials and first-instance appeals and is trusted to handle cases involving complex procedural and technical issues.
Drawing on substantial experience in landlord and tenant as well as disrepair work Vince has developed expertise in the tactical approach to litigation and is sought after for matters that involve overlapping issues of landlord and tenant, property, and wills/intestacy.
He is known for identifying and capitalising on opportunities at every stage of proceedings as well as his keen ability to deploy technical arguments based on rules, statute, and contractual interpretation to secure early and effective outcomes for his clients. Vince adopts a proactive and strategic approach to litigation, focusing on narrowing issues and applying pressure where appropriate to advance his client’s position at every stage rather than adopting a passive procedural stance. He is particularly sought after for his ability to combine technical precision with commercially pragmatic advice.
Vince is particularly interested in continuing to develop his practice in real property, contract and inheritance disputes alongside his established landlord and tenant practice.
Before coming to the Bar Vince worked as a will writer and studied the BPTC part-time. During the COVID-19 pandemic he was a keyworker and took instructions on and prepared over 1,000 wills, giving him valuable experience in dealing with clients from a wide range of circumstances as well as vulnerable individuals. This background continues to inform Vince’s approach to contentious probate and property disputes which involve trusts and estates.
Vince has lived in Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Bristol prior to his moving to the Forest of Dean and he continues to enjoy strong links with those areas. Outside of practice, he enjoys hiking, painting miniatures and classic cinema.
