Chambers is celebrating International Women’s Day – 2024

International Women’s day is celebrated on 8th March each year and was founded by Clara Zetkin in 1910 with the first day being held on 19 March 1911.

Member, Clerks and Pupils celebrate those who work with passion and dedication in our Justice System and especially, Dame Sue Carr, 59, became the first ever Lady Chief Justice, the most senior judge, after taking the oath of office at a ceremony at the Royal Courts of Justice in London in October 2023.

Purple, green and white are the colours of International Women’s Day. Purple signifies justice, dignity and being loyal to the cause. Green symbolizes hope and white represents purity.
