The members of Chambers’ clerking team have over 60 years of clerking experience between them in London, Birmingham and the South West. They aim to provide the highest standards of service to all our clients and to assist in selecting an appropriate barrister.
Public access clients should contact our clerks in the first instance who will be able to guide them through the process.

Chambers Director
Paul Eeles is a prominent figure in the legal field and was appointed Chambers Director in February 2026, having made the decision to relocate to the South West.
He has over 30 years of experience in clerking, most of that in senior roles working in Tier 1 ranked chambers in London.
Paul is recognised for his leadership and has been featured in leading legal directories for his exceptional clerking skills and approachable demeanor. Recently, he has been highlighted in the Legal 500 for his contributions to barristers’ chambers, showcasing his significant impact in the legal community.

Nick Headley
Senior Clerk
Nick joined the clerking team in June 2018 after finishing his A-Levels and relocating from Surrey to Devon in 2017. Since joining Chambers, Nick has worked across both the Civil and Family teams gaining invaluable experience and is now our Senior Civil Clerk. Nick is a member of the IBC and is currently completing the Advanced Business Management Course. Outside of work, when he isn’t walking his dog, Nick is an avid gym goer and rugby player.
Kadie Blackburn
Senior Fees Clerk
Kadie joined Southernhay Chambers in Oct 2012 as the junior fees clerk and has since developed into an important member of the team. During her time in chambers Kadie has gained experience in all aspects of family and civil clerking before returning back to the fees department taking the role of Senior Fees Clerk.

Olivia Young
Civil Clerk
Olivia joined us in 2023 from another Family set, where she had 4 years’ experience of clerking Family Direct Access cases. She currently assists the Civil team in the day to day running of their diaries and helps to develop the Civil team practice and is a member of the IBC. She has over 20 years’ experience in varying Customer facing roles and prides herself on giving excellent customer service.
When not at work Olivia enjoys time with her family and is a keen shopper!

Fees Collection Clerk
Jan, having moved from the Court Service to Clerk of Castle Chambers, under the headship of Christina Gorna has a wealth of experience. Jan is a valued member of the fees team.

Lisa Lyons
Marketing and Administration Clerk
Lisa began her clerking career at Castle Chambers in Exeter in the early 1990s. After a period working at St John’s Chambers in Bristol, she moved to Rougemont Chambers in 2004 becoming Joint Senior Clerk in 2009.
After the merger in 2013 Lisa became Marketing and Administration Clerk to Chambers
