On 27 February 2023, Jane Smith and Emma Cross delivered an advocacy skills workshop to junior and senior lawyers at Devon County Council.
The interactive workshop focussed on hearings in public law children cases with Jane and Emma sharing their top tips, experiences and examples of how to approach a wide range of advocacy exercises from case preparation through to cross-examination and closing submissions.
The workshop was extremely well received with attendees providing positive feedback to say that the session was “brilliant”, “helpful” and “informal and informative”.
